Orange Blossom Elementary Micro School is a small and flexible learning community that offers personalized and engaging education for children in grades K-5. Technology is an essential part of our modern world, and it is important to introduce it to children at an early age in a balanced manner. Technology can enhance the learning and development of kindergarten students in many ways, such as:

Technology can provide a variety of multimedia resources, such as videos, games, animations and simulations, that can capture the attention and interest of students and stimulate their imagination and creativity.

- Developing essential skills and competencies: Technology can help students develop skills and competencies that are vital for their future success in school and life. Flexibility & Collaboration
At Orange Blossom School we believe that flexible seating and collaborative learning spaces have many benefits in classrooms. They give students the choice and comfort that traditional classrooms fail to offer. Flexible and collaborative seating could include beach chairs, exercise balls, wobble chairs, floor pillows, tall cafe tables, standing desks, and much more. The idea is to give students options to be comfortable, increase student choice and allow more movement during learning, thus improving overall engagement.
Curriculum
Standards aligned and exceeded.
Our curriculum is standards aligned and geared to exceed them. We are not a textbook or test-driven school. Our goal is to allow each student to excel by exploring deep inquiry-based lessons. In kindergarten, our curriculum focuses on building foundational skills through exploration in core academic subjects such as math, language arts, science, and social studies.
- Math: Kindergarten students will learn to count to 100, identify and write numbers, and perform basic addition and subtraction using manipulatives such as counters or blocks.
- Language Arts: Kindergarten students will learn to recognize and write the letters of the alphabet, identify letter sounds, and begin to read simple words and sentences.
- Science: Kindergarten students will learn about the natural world through hands-on activities such as planting seeds, observing weather patterns, and exploring the properties of different materials.
- Social Studies: Kindergarten students will learn about their community and the world around them through activities such as creating maps, learning about different cultures, and discussing current events.

Policies
Returned Checks: Tuition payments and fees are subject to a $30.00 returned check charge. If tuition becomes 30 days delinquent, a student will be asked to withdraw from Orange Blossom until all accounts are brought up to date. If accounts are not brought up to date, Orange Blossom reserves the right to withhold all student records and deny admission to the student for the next school year.
Delinquency of Payments: In hardship situations, arrangements may be made prior to delinquency penalization. Forthrightness and open communication are helpful and appreciated.
Unconditional Tuition Obligation: Parent understands that the enrollment obligation for the full academic year is unconditional and that no portion of the year’s tuition or fees so paid or outstanding will be refunded or cancelled in the event of absence, withdrawal, or dismissal of this student from the School. Parent agrees to assume unconditional responsibility for the full annual tuition and fees and the costs of collection thereof, including reasonable attorney fees unless this contract is timely cancelled as set forth in the Tuition & Fees Schedule.
Force Majeure: The School’s duties and obligations under the Tuition Agreement Form shall be suspended immediately without notice during all periods that the School is closed because of force majeure events including, but not limited to, any fire, act of God, weather disaster, war, governmental action, act of terrorism, epidemic, pandemic or any other event beyond the School’s control. If such an event occurs, the School’s duties and obligations in this Agreement will be postponed until such time as the School, in its sole discretion, may safely reopen. In the event that the School cannot re-open due to an event under this clause, the School is under no obligation to refund any portion of the tuition paid.
Enrollment Contract
An enrollment contract is a legally binding agreement between the school and the parent or guardian of a student who wishes to enroll in the school. The enrollment contract outlines the terms and conditions of the enrollment, such as the tuition and fees, the payment schedule, the refund policy, the academic and behavioral expectations, the rights and responsibilities of both parties, and the dispute resolution process. The enrollment contract also includes important information about the school’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures.
By signing the enrollment contract, the parent or guardian agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the enrollment and to support the school’s educational goals and objectives. The enrollment contract is valid for one academic year and must be renewed annually. The enrollment contract is an essential document that ensures a clear and mutual understanding between the school and the parent or guardian of a student who wishes to enroll in the school. Student enrollment is not complete until the enrollment contract is signed and the Enrollment Fee is paid. All acceptances are on a conditional basis for the first semester as we aim to ensure that the school and student are a fit.
